Skin is in!
Just to kick start again my dormant blog, which I did (when I do) have so much affection for- the amount of time I spend changing the concept and colors and whatnots with limited IT skills is crazy!- I am going to talk about Skin!!! and delay it even a bit more my 2007 Christmas story. I PROMISE I will not deprive you of the Christmas setting itself and the wonderful spread it was.
So my second trip to Bath was random; since Joey wanted to have Sushi in Bath and Nabila suggested we went along (I was in one of my weekend trips to Bristol). Turns out the actual thing he was looking for was Salmon Skin! I was excited because I could foresee if there was a need to go to Bath for Sushi, for Salmon Skin some more..., then I was ready to be enthralled. So we ordered 2 (or was it 3) bowlful of Salmon Skin, deep fried, and crunchy.
Nabila had a platter of Sushi, nicely done (in front of our eyes) in the low-seated bar-like conveyor belt with sushi's parading in front of my eyes. Since I don't do Japanese much (only really nice ones) I still get my eyes locked whenever I see fresh tuna sashimi get cut and sliced to perfection.
Aidi and I were really hungry so that did NOT help us keep the budget down. So heck, we indulged.
So, people, do look out for Salmon Skin when you're next at a Japanese Joint. Or well, you could head over to Bath. Or at the very least, pour over YenSushi's website at your study table over homemade white coffee and dried oats bar :(
